It was 1963, I was 6 when my
brother took me to the Movies to see "The Haunting", I
didn't sleep again until 1964. By then I was hooked, every Saturday
morning was spent at the Strand Theatre watching the week-end horror
feature. Not enough, not enough, Weekends were also the time for
Chiller Theatre hosted by the King of Cool Ghouls, Zacherley. I was
there with the best of them, Frankenstein, Dracula, the Mummy, the
Phantom of the Opera, the Wolfman, The Creature, The Abominable Dr.
Phibes, counted the 13 Ghosts, opened the door for the Uninvited,
protected the Innocents, all the time on a journey to the House on
Haunted Hill. What a Time Warp, It was Friday, June 13th and I went
to meet Jason. What a Shining night that was. By 1982, I thought the
Evil Dead were gone from my life but there in the darkness,
communicating from afar was Elvira to bring me full circle back to
the day of my first Haunting.
